As a Cloud Solutions Engineer at Douglas Cloud Services, you'll design, build, and support cloud infrastructure for clients migrating to AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud. You'll work directly with clients — no account managers standing between you and the problem — and own projects from architecture through go-live.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement cloud migration plans for client workloads moving to AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Build and maintain infrastructure as code using Terraform or equivalent tools
- Monitor cloud environments for performance, cost, and security issues, and resolve them proactively
- Automate deployment pipelines and repetitive operational tasks
- Document architecture decisions and runbooks so clients and teammates aren't dependent on any one person
- Communicate directly with clients during migrations, incidents, and planning calls
Requirements
- 2+ years of hands-on experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Working knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar)
- Comfortable scripting in Python, Bash, or PowerShell
- Solid understanding of networking fundamentals — VPCs, DNS, load balancing, VPNs
- Experience with Linux systems administration
- Clear written and verbal communication — you'll talk to clients, not just teammates
- Nice to have: AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator, or an equivalent certification
Benefits
- Fully remote — work from anywhere in the U.S.
- Competitive pay based on experience
- Flexible PTO
- Certification and professional development support
- Direct client exposure and real ownership of your projects — no red tape
- A small team where your work is visible and your input matters
